For travel through December 31, 2022, you may change or cancel up to 7 days prior to departure in the event of a COVID-19-related reason — whether at home or in your travel destination — and receive a credit toward future travel.

Terms and Conditions: For new bookings for travel through December 31, 2022 made through Traveo.is or Meiliexperience.com guests may change or cancel the booking up to 7 days prior to departure in the event of a COVID-19-related reason at home or in their travel destination. For Tailor Made bookings, some exclusions and penalties may apply, which will be advised in writing prior to confirmation. Guests who cancel without rebooking will receive a credit toward future travel valid through December 31, 2022; credit is non-transferable and non-refundable. Applicable price of new journey applies. Guest is responsible for non-refundable air fees, insurance and other related costs. All other standard terms and conditions apply to the booking. Special terms are subject to change and can be withdrawn at any time.

COVID-19-related reasons include:

  • The government in the guest’s country of residence restricts all but essential travel
  • The government in the destination the guest is travelling to, or the government in the guest’s country of residence issues a “Do Not Travel due to COVID-19” advisory
  • The destination the guest is travelling to has entry restrictions in place that prohibit the guest from travelling, such as closed borders or extended quarantine requirements (more than 1 day)
  • International flights are cancelled without alternative routing available for guest to use to reach the destination(s) in the itinerary
  • 30% non-refundable deposit due at the time of confirmation
  • 60-46 days before scheduled tour arrival date: 50% cancellation fee
  • 45-31 days before scheduled tour arrival date: 75% cancellation fee
  • 30 days before scheduled tour arrival date: 100% cancellation fee

Cancellation charges for domestic flights: All domestic flights are 100% non-refundable at time of final payment

Notification of cancellations: If you need to cancel, you should notify your travel consultant by written email notification as soon as possible.

Cancellation at short notice: If you need to cancel at short notice (72 hours or less before arrival), you must email AND call us as soon as possible. Your email should be sent to info[at]meiliexperience.com (please do not email your personal Travel Advisor). You must then also confirm your cancellation verbally with a Meili employee by calling our main customer service phone number.

Extraordinary circumstances: If the package is cancelled by you or us due to extraordinary circumstances, you will pay no cancellation fees, and no extra compensation will be paid. Extraordinary circumstances may include but are not limited to, warfare, acts of terrorism, significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of severe disease at the travel destination, or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the tour destination. Rights of cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel confirmed bookings at any time. Exercise of this right could occur, for example, if minimum participation in a tour is not reached, if we are prevented from delivering the contracted services because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, or if the booking party fails to pay the final balance in full.

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total price of the booking is required at time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. If your reservation is made within 60 days of departure, the entire cost of the trip must be paid at the time of the request in order to secure confirmation.
